We are pleased to announce the signing of a true Michigan Hockey Legend, Joe Pace Jr.

If you’ve ever been to a Port Huron Prowlers game, chances are you know the name Joe Pace Jr. Joe wasn’t just a player, he was the heartbeat of the team. From defenseman to assistant coach, to becoming the first player-head coach and general manager in pro hockey in over 40 years, his impact on the Prowlers and the FPHL was nothing short of historic.

🔥 Helped lead the team to a championship in their inaugural season

🎯 Played over 600 pro games, racking up goals, assists, and a TON of penalty minutes

🧠 Coached, recruited, mentored, and built teams from the ground up

💬 Always the first to sign autographs, pose for photos, and give back to the fans

🏆 Honored with the FPHL Founder’s Award for his service to the league

Even after leaving Port Huron, he kept making waves, bringing pro hockey back to the Gulf Coast with the Mississippi Sea Wolves. Joe Pace Jr. wasn’t just a player, he is a builder, a leader, and a fan favorite who gave everything to the game and the community.
