Rowell comes home from being called up, to sink the Sharks in shootout fashion

The Michigan Shadow earned a hard-fought 4–3 shootout victory over the Waterford Sharks in a physical, high-energy matchup that lived up to the rivalry.

The tone was set early when captain Jmo Milam buried a huge goal to open the scoring, giving the Shadow immediate momentum. The special teams units followed suit, with the power play clicking at the right moments and consistently applying pressure.

Equally important was the penalty kill, which did a tremendous job of shutting the door and limiting second chances, protecting goaltender Bryn Sommerfeldt, who delivered a composed performance under heavy traffic and key late-game situations.

After regulation and overtime couldn’t separate the teams, the game headed to a shootout — and that’s where Theo Rowell stepped up as the hero, finishing the night with the shootout winner to seal the 4–3 victory.

The Shadow now turn their focus to their next matchup:
