The Shadow Project was created with one simple belief at its core: no young athlete should have to give up on their dreams because of financial limitations. Hockey is more than just a sport, it’s a community, a family, and a lifelong teacher of discipline, resilience, and leadership. Yet, for too many kids across the country, the rising costs of youth sports, and training can put their dreams out of reach before they ever get a chance to shine. That’s where we come in.
Founded and led by former collegiate and professional athletes, The Shadow Project is dedicated to breaking down those barriers and giving back to the game that gave us so much. We’ve lived the journey, early mornings at the rink, balancing school with athletics, learning lessons about perseverance and teamwork that carried us far beyond the ice. Now, it’s our turn to ensure the next generation of student-athletes gets the same chance to succeed, regardless of financial circumstance.
Our mission is straightforward but powerful: to provide real, life changing support to young athletes by covering season tuitions and other costs as they chase both their hockey and academic dreams.
