Shadow are slow out of the gate after the break, fall to Sharks 5-4

The Shadow dropped a tough one tonight, falling 5–4 to the Sharks in a clash between two of the league’s top contenders. It was a slow start for the boys, heading into the first intermission down 2–0 after struggling to find their rhythm.

Out of the break, though, the Shadow erupted with three unanswered goals, flipping the momentum and taking a 3–2 lead in a dominant stretch of play. The Sharks managed to steady themselves and answered back, knotting the game at 4 heading into the second intermission.

The third period delivered all the intensity you’d expect from these two heavyweights fast, physical, and back-and-forth. Unfortunately, a late turnover by Ryerse turned into the difference-maker, leading to the Sharks’ go-ahead goal and denying the Shadow a chance at overtime.

The Shadow look to rebound quickly as they head to Muskegon on Sunday, aiming to keep the skid at just one and get back in the win column.
