Shadow find there inner Jedi vs Detroit!

The Force was definitely not with Detroit last night, but it was flowing pretty smoothly through Big Boy Arena as the Shadow rolled to another win on Star Wars Night. With stormtroopers in the hallways, Jedi in the stands, and Chewbacca accidentally setting off the goal horn twice, the boys fed off the chaos from opening puck drop.

The tone was set early when the Shadow scored and immediately broke into what might be the most electric celebration this league has ever seen — a full-blown lightsaber duel! Nothing says “we’re here to ruin your night” like an early goal from the 4th line, followed by a battle for galactic supremacy.

From there, the offense didn’t just wake up — it went hyperspeed. Pucks were flying in from every line, rookies and vets alike piling onto the scoreboard. By the third period, even Yoda would’ve said, “Mercy, give them you must.”

Now the squad packs up the star destroyer and hits the road for a two-game swing in two weeks, battling Waterford and then heading into Muskegon — where the Shadow will try to remind the Voyagers that the Dark Side travels well.

May the scoreboard forever be tilted in our favor.
