Sommerfeldt shuts down Muskegon in HISTORIC fashion!

The Shadow rolled into Muskegon on Teddy Bear Toss Night and spoiled the party in HISTORIC  fashion, delivering the first shutout in Voyagers history, and silencing a very unhappy home crowd who were excited  to launch their stuffed animals.

Behind a suffocating defensive effort and standout goaltending, the Shadow locked down a 5–0 win on the road, pushing their record to 5–3 on the season. From the opening puck drop, the boys played like a team on a mission, controlling pace, winning battles, and slamming the door shut every time Muskegon tried to generate momentum. Goalie Sommerfeldt pitched his first professional shutout, stopping 42 shots on net!

Now, the energy shifts back home.

The Shadow return to Big Boy Arena this weekend, ready to welcome the Alpena 45ers and the Kalkaska Kings into the Den for what promises to be a massive two-game stretch. The Den will be buzzing, and the Shadow are ready to feed off it, as they continue to lead the pack into the winter break!
